The large-scale work Infinity Measured is the outcome of an approximate 11-hour exposure that started at exact civil dusk and lasted till exact civil dawn. In astrophotography, an extended exposure results in the capture of an increasing amount of distant celestial objects. An exposure corresponding to the duration of a full night would theoretically account for the limit of distance a groundbased camera is able to see into the universe. Despite having photographed the precise duration of nighttime, from civil twilight to civil twilight, the record of remote distance is concealed by the first light of new morning, resulting in a seemingly daytime blue sky. |
